 Geology Small outcrop of the Main Limestone or Main Chert on lower dale slope. This great block of cherty limestone is far below the level of the outcrop at th top edge of Throstle Gill and is likely to have slumped to its present elevation during a major landslip.
 Record Name MSK01 Throstle Gill. Ancient rowans and yew on small Scar on east side of stream below Dicky Edge.
 Record Description This small outcrop supports two live rowans of great age and the skeletal remains of several even more ancient yews. NOTE! ARMY RANGE DANGER AREA! This site is on an active Army Firing Range. Access is NOT ALLOWED without express written permission from the Army Range Authorities.
